Privacy Policy

Anchor ("we," "our," "us," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes what information Anchor accesses, how it is used, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Do Not Collect

Anchor does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. We do not have a backend, database, or cloud service. We do not collect your name, email address, location, device identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information.

On-Device Data

Anchor stores the following data locally on your device:

• Session history (date, duration, cycles, pattern, feeling)
• App preferences and settings
• Visualization and sound choices

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. It is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework in a local database on your device.

Apple Health Integration

If you choose to enable Apple Health integration in Settings, Anchor will:

• Write mindful session data (start time, end time, and duration) to Apple HealthKit after each completed session
• Read mindful session data created by Anchor in order to delete it if you delete a session from the app

Anchor does not read any other health data. Apple Health integration is entirely optional and can be enabled or disabled at any time in Settings. Data written to Apple Health is governed by Apple's privacy policies and your device's Health privacy settings.

Analytics, Advertising & Tracking

Anchor does not use any analytics frameworks, crash reporting tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We do not track your usage patterns, behavior, or any other activity within or outside the app.

Third-Party Services

Anchor does not integrate with any third-party services other than Apple HealthKit (as described above). We do not share data with any third parties.

Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• You can delete individual sessions from within the app. If the session was synced to Apple Health, the corresponding Health data will also be removed.
• Uninstalling Anchor removes all locally stored app data.
• Data written to Apple Health can be independently managed through Apple's Health app under Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.

iCloud Backup

If you use iCloud backup on your device, your device backup may include Anchor's local data as part of the standard iOS backup process. This is controlled by your iCloud settings, not by Anchor.

Children's Privacy

Anchor is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. Since Anchor does not collect any personal information from any user, no special provisions are necessary.

Security

Because Anchor does not transmit data over the internet, the risk of data interception is eliminated. Your session data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
